As the first quarter of 2021 concluded, Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of the virtual fitness landscape in the United States. The data reflects the performance of the top five virtual fitness programs across both iOS and Android platforms.

Planet Fitness Workouts experienced a notable increase in revenue from $5,000 in the final week of December 2020 to $13,000 in the final week of March 2021. Downloads peaked in the first week of January with nearly 250,000 new users, followed by a gradual decline to 190,000 by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a consistent uptrend from 1.5 million to nearly 1.8 million over the quarter.

Fitbit: Health & Fitness showed a revenue pattern with initial fluctuation, eventually climbing to $800,000 in the third week of March from $750,000 at the start of the year. Downloads decreased from 230,000 to 90,000, while weekly active users saw a slight decrease from 7.8 million to 7.6 million.

FitOn Workouts & Fitness Plans saw revenue fluctuate around $100,000 throughout the quarter, with downloads showing a peak of 110,000 in mid-January before stabilizing around 60,000 by March's end. Active users remained fairly stable, with a minor dip from 650,000 to 600,000.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run saw its revenue more than double, starting at $160,000 and reaching $270,000 by the quarter's end. The app's downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase to around 80,000, and active users grew from 370,000 to nearly 500,000.
